Trump sends out first tweet since winning elections

MANILA, Philippines – United States President-elect Donald Trump sent out his first tweet since winning the election against Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, remembering the "beautiful and important evening" that had just passed.

On Wednesday, November 9, Trump's Twitter account sent this out: "Such a beautiful and important evening! The forgotten man and woman will never be forgotten again. We will all come together as never before."

In a conciliatory address, Trump pledged "to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all Americans." He also paid tribute to Clinton, and thanked his staff for their hard work. (READ: Trump pledges to be president for all Americans)
