MANILA, Philippines – Game maker Bethesda, following nearly a day of speculation over a stream of a Fallout bobblehead on Twitch.tv, revealed they were coming out with a new game set in the Fallout universe, titled Fallout 76.
Details are scant at the moment, but the company did release the trailer above which points to players likely being an inhabitant of Vault 76, a "control" vault that housed people against nuclear annihilation for 20 years, then released them to rebuild America.
Kotaku, citing sources, said the game may very well be an online survival RPG, in the vein of Rust or DayZ. As such, it may not be the typical single player role-playing experience some would hope for.
That said, we'll likely learn more about Fallout 76 during its E3 press conference in June. (READ: This is the E3 2018 press conference schedule)
