MANILA, Philippines – Huawei is set to launch its latest flagship device – the Huawei Mate 8 – on Sunday, March 6.
The Philippines appears set to get the dual-SIM version of the phone, with model number NXT-L29. On the phone’s product specifications page, the NXT-L09 is designated as the single-sim version.
Huawei's new flagship sports a 6-inch, 1080p (368ppi) display and is powered by a Huawei Kirin 950 Octa-core processor + i5 co-processor.
The Mate 8 sports a 16 megapixel rear camera and an 8 megapixel front camera.
The version the Philippines will be getting will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space. The phone will also be sporting a 4,000 mAh battery.
The Mate 8 will take advantage of Android 6.0 but the phone will run on the EMUI 4.0 user interface.
The Huawei Mate 8 will cost P32,990 ($703) and pre-orders appear to be currently available on Huawei Philippines' Facebook page. –Rappler.com
