MANILA, Philippines – Following a truck attack in Nice, France, which has killed at least 80 people, Google announced it was making some of its services available for users who wanted to check in on loved ones in the area.

The company said Friday, July 15, that it was making calls to France from Google Hangouts, Google Voice, and Project Fi free from anywhere in the world those services are supported.

Google is also enabling a Google Now card that will detect if you're in the Nice area.

The Google Now card will provide users with critical updates and information from French authorities and emergency services. – Rappler.com
